Welcome to the Pre-Law Career Community!
The Career and Professional Development Office provides students with a wide array of resources to connect them with Pre-Law information and learning opportunities. Our office hosts several Pre-Law networking and information sessions throughout the year. In addition to the opportunities on the Handshake database, Career and Professional Development offers several career-readiness courses, plus the expertise of an experienced team of career coaches.
Being involved with law-related extra-curricular and volunteer activities is a way to show demonstrated interested in pursuing a career in law, which can be beneficial during the law school application process. We encourage students to join the St. Edward’s Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. Phi Alpha Delta is an international legal fraternity uniting lawyers, law students, and undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in the legal field. The St. Edward’s University chapter is a student organization that consists of current St. Edward’s students brought together by their interest in law. Furthermore, it seeks to bring its members into contact with legal professionals as well as educate its members about the law school admissions process.
