Welcome to the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences Career Community!
The School of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) offers a variety of majors: criminal justice, global studies, political science, environmental science and policy, history, psychology, behavioral neuroscience, sociology, and social work. Each of these majors offers learning experiences to build important skills valued by employers and graduate programs: critical thinking, data analysis, written and oral communication, and creativity. We are guided in all things by our mission of inclusive excellence, a global perspective, and a celebration of diversity.
Our students have placed successfully both in the world of work and in graduate programs, and many complete an internship prior to graduation in order to best prepare for the next step in their personal and professional pursuits. We know behavioral and social science students benefit from individual guidance to shape their SEU experience to align with their future goals. Whether advanced study or an immediate job of your dreams is your goal, BSS faculty and your Career Coach are here to help. Be sure to visit faculty office hours, attend appointments and events with Career and Professional Development, and even keep me up-to-date on your plans. We are invested in your success and are ready to get you started on your path.
