Mission interns support the development, implementation, and execution of Livestrong’s strategic mission and objectives. This role may include support in the organization’s delivery of patient-centered services, building and engaging communities of survivors, and leading systems change through a variety of initiatives. Interns will support Livestrong’s mission by interacting with local and national partners to impact the cancer landscape and address gaps in cancer care. Interns should have an interest in the healthcare field, and be comfortable conducting research and evaluation. Ideal candidates should have great communication and writing skills, be highly organized and have the ability to work on multiple projects at once. This is a great position for someone interested in nonprofit management, program building, community outreach, and stakeholder engagement.
This position will be offered for the Spring of 2021 and interns can expect 10-20 hours weekly dedicated to fulfilling our company’s mission. Our interns will be given the option of either coming into the office or working remotely. Interns will work closely with one mentor and receive weekly tasks at the beginning of the week and meet later in the week to address whether expectations are being met.
