Solar Austin has launched a grant-funded internship matching program, the mission of which is to facilitate career pathways for women and students of color in the clean energy sector.
Careers in clean energy involve much more than project construction. Partnered companies are seeking to employ and mentor interns in areas such as engineering, marketing, finance, administration, design, IT, etc. We are currently seeking women students and students of color who are interested in the clean energy industry, but who need help getting their foot in the door. You do not need previous experience in the sector to be placed in an internship!
Applying to this program does not ensure final placement, but all applicants will have access to program services, such as resume and interview prep with a professional energy recruiter and facilitated diversity workshops alongside local employers. Fall internships can be part-time, full-time, or with flexible hours, and will start in October and conclude by students’ December break. All internships are paid a base living wage ($15/hour). For this semester, you must be 17 years or older to apply.
