This position is in a fast-paced professional office environment and is centered around providing assistance to staff in the Office of the Registrar. This position will primarily be responsible for assisting our ongoing scanning and verification processes.
Required skills include the ability to sort and file documents by subject and alphabetically; basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; basic computer knowledge; attention to detail; ability to occasionally lift objects up to 30 lbs. Previous customer service experience preferred.
Duties also may include: providing customer service for students, faculty, and staff; taking initiative; being a team player; data processing; light research; use of office machines (computer/copier/fax); and answering phones. Employees must be willing to comply with attendance and dress code. Professional etiquette, dependability, and confidentiality are expected.
This position will be open starting September 7, 2021, and will last until approximately May 5, 2022. However, the opportunity exists for continued employment into future semesters, contingent upon performance. Students need to have work-study funding awarded in order to apply for this position; no other students will be considered. The starting wage range for this position will be $8.00-$8.50/hour, but can rise with experience. Primary duties will take place in the Office of the Registrar, Main Building, Room 221, but can vary depending on necessary tasks.
